Joel 3:10: "Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, I am strong."
Do you know your weaknesses? Or is it that only other people notice, but you don't? It is very important for us to know our weaknesses. After identifying them, watch and pray so as not to enter into temptation. Matthew 26:41: "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." So why live in the flesh?
Meditate on the Word all the time, don't go without reading your Bible for a single day.
Psalm 1:1-2: "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scorners,
but he delights in the Law of the LORD, and in His Law he meditates day and night." Always be in constant prayer. You can say: it seems like GOD is so far away, how do I get out of this terrible spiritual failure? In three steps you will discover how to win.
1st Step: Look only at JESUS. Don't look at the circumstances that lead you to this spiritual failure. Even you who have a good spiritual life before GOD, can have moments like this because of certain circumstances. You may experience sudden dread, fear of something, etc. Always look to JESUS, we can suffer even because of the Gospel. 2 Timothy 3:12 says: Yes, and all who desire to live godly in CHRIST JESUS will be persecuted."
For the family, the envious neighbor, the co-worker, the boss, etc. Look what 1 Peter 3:17 says "For it is better to suffer by doing good, if the will of GOD so desires, than by doing evil." You don't share the same actions as them, of course they will rise up against you. Light and darkness do not go together, understand this and live your days one day at a time and in peace. Dear brother, if you have anything first, where will CHRIST be in your life? Lucas 9:57-62 says, "As they were going along the way, a man said to him, I will follow you wherever you go.
JESUS answered them: Foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.
And to another he said, follow me: to which he said, let me first bury my father.
JESUS replied: let the dead bury their dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of GOD.
Another also said: LORD, I will follow you, but let me first say goodbye to those who are in my house.
JESUS, however, answered him: No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the Kingdom of GOD." What do we understand here? The priority is JESUS. In v 58, he shows us that we can even give up our earthly home (JESUS, he had nowhere to lay his head.) In v 60, you may have to leave your family second. In vv 61–62, you may have to leave your friends second. We don't see our GOD, but we know that HE is real. Therefore, we must have a commitment first and foremost with this MIGHTY GOD. In 2 Corinthians 5:7, it says: because we walk by faith, and not by sight. We understand what with this verse? That our faith must be equal to our commitment to HIM. How does this faith reach our hearts? By listening to His Holy Word. So, how will you have a true commitment to GOD? Hearing and obeying His Word.
2nd Step: To avoid failing in your spiritual life, have attitude and never give up. What does 2 Corinthians 5:17 say? "If anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away, behold, everything has become new, hallelujah! Where is the difference between those who win in the spiritual life and those who fail? The answer lies in their attitude. The Apostle Paul he dared to say: I fought the good fight, I finished my career, I kept the faith. What an attitude from this man of GOD! There is only one way for you to fail in spiritual life, and that is to give up.
3rd Step: To overcome any and all spiritual failures, have intimacy with GOD. Talk to HIM, share your thoughts and ideas, your pains, your problems, this is being intimate with HIM. We do it with friends, colleagues, family, but we don’t talk to JESUS. How can we have intimacy with HIM? Do you have a clear conscience? Then go to Friend JESUS and talk to HIM. In Acts 23:1 Paul says: "When Paul looked at the Sanhedrin, he said: Men, brothers, until this day I have walked before GOD with a good conscience" Ah! If you have a clear conscience, nothing accuses you, you will certainly have communion, intimacy with the FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT. If your conscience condemns you, it is time to ask for forgiveness and repent, start a new life with GOD.
Let's ask for forgiveness and live this new life. You can ask for what you want and you will receive it, because, in intimacy with HIM, you will certainly not ask for anything that will make you sin.
