What would your life be like, your heart, your faith, your relationship with GOD and with people? Prepare yourself for an intense reflection that can awaken your soul and rekindle your love for GOD. INTRODUCTION What would happen if JESUS returned today? This is a question that crosses centuries, that has already moved nations, awakened revivals, provoked repentance, and rekindled hope in millions of people. But it is also a question that frightens, that confronts, and that removes all of us who say we believe in CHRIST from our comfort. Because, in the end, it is not just a prophetic question. It is a deeply personal question. If JESUS returned now, at this exact minute, how would He find you? What would HE see in your heart? In your schedule? In your priorities? In your faith? And perhaps the most uncomfortable question of all: Would you be prepared? 1. IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY, HE WOULD CATCH US BY SURPRISE The Bible is very clear: the return of CHRIST will be sudden. JESUS compares His coming to a thief who arrives during the night, at a moment when no one is expecting it. HE said: “I will come like a thief.” (Revelation 16:15) And also: “Two will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.” (Matthew 24:40) This reveals something simple but profound: Not everyone will be ready. We live in a distracted generation. Distracted by busyness, by anxiety, by work, by screens, by what does not matter, by what does not save. Concerned with money, status, recognition, image, likes, personal achievements… And often indifferent to what is eternal. But JESUS warns us: There will be no warning. There will be no countdown. There will be no opportunity to “just wait a little longer to get life in order.” Either we are ready… Or we are not. 2. IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY, MUCH OF WHAT WE VALUE WOULD LOSE ALL MEANING Imagine, for a moment, that the heavens open. Imagine that CHRIST appears in glory, with His angels, as it is written in Matthew 24. Imagine the sound of the trumpet echoing across the earth. At that moment, something happens: Everything that occupies our mind and heart becomes irrelevant. ● The clothes you are wearing ● The new cellphone ● The financed car ● Work problems ● The argument you had yesterday ● The fear of what others think ● The pride you hold on to ● Passing ambitions None of this will have value. None of this will have weight. In that instant, there will be only two things that truly matter: Your life with GOD… And the eternal destiny of your soul. 3. IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY, HE WOULD FIND MANY WITH FAITH… BUT FEW WITH REPENTANCE JESUS asked: “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8) Today we have churches full, Christian videos going viral, gospel music topping charts. There is faith everywhere. But do you know what is missing? Repentance. Real change. True transformation. The return of JESUS is not only for people who believe. It is for people who believed, surrendered, were transformed, and chose to live as disciples. There are many who say “LORD, LORD”… But few who live according to His will. If JESUS returned today, how would He find your life? How would He find your choices? Your character? Your intimacy with GOD? 4. IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY, HE WOULD FIND MANY TIRED AND OVERBURDENED We live in a time when people are emotionally exhausted. Anxiety at historic levels. Depression becoming common. Broken hearts, fragmented families, fragile relationships. Many even want to draw near to GOD, but say: “When I have time…” “When I get better…” “When everything settles down…” But JESUS never said: “Come to Me when you are strong.” “Come when everything is resolved.” HE said: “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” If HE returned today, He would find many who needed His rest… But who still insist on living far from Him. 5. IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY, SOME WOULD REJOICE… AND OTHERS WOULD DESPAIR The return of CHRIST will be the day of greatest glory for some — and the day of greatest despair for others. For those who love Him, it will be a reunion. It will be heaven arriving all at once. It will be the final liberation. It will be the end of pain, mourning, tears, injustice, and fear. But for those who rejected Him… For those who lived indifferently… For those who hid behind religion, but never surrendered… It will be a day of terror. The Bible says: “All the tribes of the earth will mourn.” (Matthew 24:30) Because they will realize, too late, that salvation was so close… But was ignored. 6. IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY, HE WOULD SEEK NOT THE PERFECT, BUT THE FAITHFUL The return of CHRIST does not demand perfection. It demands surrender. It demands decision. It demands faithfulness. The question is not: “Have you never made a mistake?” The question is: “Are you living as someone who belongs to Him?” JESUS asked for only one thing: Watchfulness. Watchfulness is not paranoia. It is not fear. It is not living in panic about the end. Watchfulness is keeping the heart burning. It is living as someone who knows where they are going. It is truly loving GOD. It is putting the Kingdom first. It is caring for the soul as the most precious good. 7. IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY, HE WOULD REMIND US OF WHAT REALLY MATTERS In the end, the return of CHRIST is not about fear. It is about hope. It is not about terror. It is about reunion. It is not about the end of the world. It is about the beginning of the true home. JESUS will return… Not to destroy us, but to restore us. Not to condemn us, but to gather us. Not to distance us, but to save us completely. The return of CHRIST is the greatest promise of love ever made to humanity. 8. SO… HOW TO BE PREPARED IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY? 9. Repent It is not guilt. It is change. It is the decision to live differently. 10. Forgive Do not carry burdens that do not belong to you. 11. Love Without reservations. Without pride. Without masks. 12. Seek GOD daily Not out of obligation, but out of hunger. 13. Live with purpose Because each day matters. Each choice matters. Each minute matters. 14. Wait, but not with folded arms Wait loving. Wait serving. Wait living like CHRIST. CONCLUSION If JESUS returned today, HE would not be asking about your bank account, your job, your status, your history of mistakes, nor your achievements. HE would be looking at only one thing: Your heart. And the question would be simple: “Are you Mine?” If JESUS returned today… Would you be ready to look into His eyes? This is the reflection that transforms the soul. This is the question that awakens. This is the truth that no one can ignore. JESUS will come. Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. But HE will come. And when He comes… May He find us with hearts burning, with living faith, and with souls surrendered to His love.
